I used to think I’d never get used to read books on a screen. I like the feel of the paper, the weight of the book in my hand, the ability to easily look at the people on the cover whenever I want to.
In the past few months, though, I’ve been receiving an increasing number of Advance Reader’s Copies (ARC’s) of books in a digital format. Which means I’ve had to get used to reading entire novels through the kindle app on my iPhone.
While I’ve gotten pretty used to it, I do still prefer to have the actual book. Each book just feels different. Depending on the number of pages, the glossy/matte texture of the cover, the format of the book… it all just works together to give each novel the feel of a unique experience.
I’m curious, though, what’s your preference? Any self-proclaimed book nerds that love a kindle or a nook and don’t miss the smell of paper at all?
